THE SHOP
Christie's Artisan Bread & Pastry Shop located in the historic dowtown district of Clinton is a true authentic, on-premise bakery.  The shop is 2,000 sq ft hosting 40 seats with 
Owner & Executive Chef Andrew Christie has had a long and illustrious career that started in 1985 where he worked in several restaurants in New Jersey and Virginia before attending The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY in 1989.  He did his externship at the 5-diamond Boston Harbor Hotel in Boston, MA.  He graduated with honors and received an Associates Degree in Occupational Studies in 1991.    
ANDREW CHRISTIE 
Owner & Executive Chef Andrew Christie has had a long and illustrious career that started in 1985 where he worked in several restaurants in New Jersey and Virginia before attending The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY in 1989.  He did his externship at the 5-diamond Boston Harbor Hotel in Boston, MA.  He graduated with honors and received an Associates Degree in Occupational Studies in 1991.   

After school, he took a job as a cook with Dolce International at Hamilton Park in Florham Park, NJ.  In 3 1/2 years, he worked his way up to Executive Sous Chef.  At Hamilton Park, participated in a "Chef Exchange Program" that landed him in Denmark & Germany for a month in 1993. 

In 1995 he was the opening Executive Sous Chef with Benchmark Hospitality International at the brand new AT&T Learning Center in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.  A year later he was promoted to Executive Chef.  Over the next 4 years in addition to his Executive Chef's position at AT&T, he was the opening and transition chef for several new projects all over the country and was a valuable member of the Food & Beverage Council.  In 2000 he was promoted to Assistant Food & Beverage Director, where he oversaw all the day to day operations of banquets, the bar, restaurant and kitchen.  In 2001 he accepted the Food & Beverage Director position at the Turtle Bay Resort on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.  

In 2003 he accepted a position as the General Manager of Casperkill Country Club in Poughkeepsie, NY.  A year later the property was sold and Andy moved to Virginia as the Director of Operation at the 4-diamond Virginia Crossing Resort in Glen Allen, VA.  Three years later he moved back to New Jersey and accepted a position as the Director of Operations at Dolce Basking Ridge.   At Dolce Basking Ridge, he was given the responsibility of overseeing the food and beverage aspect for all the transitions and openings of new properties.  He also served on the Food & Beverage Advisory Council for the company. 

In 2007 he received his Level II Sommelier certification from the United States Sommelier Association at Le Cordon Bleu of Culinary Arts, Miami, FL..  

Andy currently resides in Hunterdon County, New Jersey with his wife Catalina and three children (Timmy, Giovi and David).
